This institute was started in a temporary building in the year 1982 by the Department of Employment & Training., Hyderabad, Government of Andhra Pradesh with the aim to provide vocational training to large number of rural youth of Kadapa District.
On the construction of Institution’s own building/workshop the building was shifted to new institution campus.
The campus is spread in 5 Acres of land .
Keeping in the view the demand of the industry new trades like Fitter, Diesel Mechanic were added in this institution and the admission will be in next session. (Since the civil works are in progress.)
Trades and their strength :
1. Electrician (2 + 2 ) – 4 Units (80 trainees)
2. Draughtsman (Mechanical) – 1 Unit (20 trainees)
3. Draughtsman (Civil) – 1 Unit (20 trainees)
4. Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) – 1 Unit (20 trainees)
Admission:
The admission to the ITI is open to anybody meeting the following eligibility criteria.
Eligibility:
The candidate should have the minimum qualification of Secondary School Certificate (SSC).
This is applicable to all the above trades.
All the courses /trades of the Institution are affiliated with National Council for Vocational Training, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The examination ( known as a final trade test) are on annual bases through out the country are conducted by the body NCVT, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Commissioner of Employment and Training Hyderabad Andhra Pradesh., evaluate the Examination Papers & Practical and prepare the results of all the Trades.
